Feature

WhatsApp appointment reminders

mypharmacy.mt sends every patient an automatic appointment confirmation and reminder over WhatsApp, with one-tap confirmation and an automatic SMS fallback for anyone not on WhatsApp — so far fewer patients forget, and your counter stops phoning round to chase them.

How it works
1

Booked once, messaged automatically

As soon as an appointment is booked — online, by phone or at the counter — mypharmacy.mt sends the patient a WhatsApp confirmation with the date, time, practitioner and branch.

2

A reminder before the appointment

A reminder goes out ahead of the appointment with a one-tap 'Confirm' button. Confirmations flow straight back into your diary, so your team can see at a glance who's coming.

3

SMS fallback, nothing missed

If a patient isn't reachable on WhatsApp, the message falls back to SMS automatically — so every patient gets the reminder, whichever they use.

Built for how Maltese pharmacies really work

Made for busy pharmacies running clinics with several doctors — where plenty of patients still call the counter or walk in. Online, phone and walk-in bookings all land in one diary, so your team keeps the manual appointments they rely on while patients who'd rather book online can. EU-hosted and GDPR-ready, with two-factor authentication and an audit log.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do reminders go over WhatsApp or SMS?

Both. Reminders are sent over WhatsApp by default, with an automatic SMS fallback when a patient isn't on WhatsApp, so nobody misses an appointment.

Is this allowed under the GDPR?

Yes. mypharmacy.mt is EU-hosted and built for the GDPR: messaging uses approved templates, patient data stays in the EU, and you keep data-export and erasure tools and an audit log.

Will reminders reduce no-shows?

That's what they're for. A reminder with one-tap confirmation, combined with waiting-list fill and no-show tracking, is the most effective way Maltese pharmacies and clinics cut missed appointments.
