Privacy Policy
Last updated November 2026.
This policy explains how mypharmacy.mt (operated by 9H, "we") handles personal data. It covers both the public pharmacy directory and the appointment‑booking system used by participating pharmacies. We are committed to handling personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Maltese data‑protection law.
The pharmacy directory
Browsing the directory and the Sunday roster does not require an account and we do not ask you for personal data to use it. Pharmacy listing information (name, address, phone, opening hours) is business information, not personal data about you. If you use "Open near me", your location is used in your browser only to sort pharmacies by distance — it is not sent to or stored by us.
Appointment booking
When you book an appointment through a pharmacy that uses our system, we process the details needed to make and manage that booking — typically your name, contact number and the appointment you choose — on behalf of that pharmacy, which is the data controller for your booking. We use these details to confirm the appointment and send reminders (e.g. by WhatsApp or SMS). We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Retention
Booking and related records are retained only as long as needed to provide the service and to meet the operating pharmacy's legal and record‑keeping obligations, after which they are anonymised or deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected] and we will route the request to the relevant pharmacy where needed. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) in Malta.
Cookies & analytics
We keep cookies and tracking to a minimum. The site stores a small preference in your browser (such as your light/dark theme choice and your cookie choice) that is not used to identify you — these are essential and set without consent.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited and from where) so we can improve it. Analytics and its cookies are off by default: nothing is loaded and no analytics cookies are set until you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, Google Analytics is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. We enable IP anonymisation and do not use analytics data for advertising.
