Travel vaccinations in Malta

If you're travelling, some destinations need vaccinations or malaria advice weeks in advance. A few Maltese pharmacies offer travel health services or can point you to the right place. Here's how to plan ahead.

Start early

Some travel vaccines need several weeks before departure to take full effect, and a few are given as a course. Check your destination’s requirements and speak to a pharmacist or travel clinic as early as you can.

What pharmacies can help with

Depending on the pharmacy, this may include advice on recommended vaccines, certain vaccinations on site, antimalarial guidance and general travel health (stomach upsets, sun, insect bites). For specialist or yellow-fever certificates you may be directed to a designated centre.

Find a pharmacy

Use the pharmacy finder to find a pharmacy near you and call ahead to ask what travel services they offer and what to bring (such as your itinerary).

Find a pharmacy near you

Search by town, see which pharmacies are open now, or who's on duty this Sunday or public holiday.
